Service Controller v2.26

Release Date: July 28, 2004.
Service Controller has been created for this purpose exactly and, as its name suggests, the application targets the services running on the operating system. It prevents you from accidentally disabling critical operating system services and suggest whether to disable a service or not based on the use of your computer (e.g. Default, Gaming, Internet Gateway etc..

A straightforward interface that does not make available any other options except those relevant to the program’s purpose invites the user to populate it with the desired services.

In the main application window, the only options available allow the user to add an entry and to proceed to editing it.

Adding a new service is a simple task: just browse for the necessary entry and customize it with an image, which could make it stand out in the general list.

Selecting the service you need is also an effortless job, especially since Service Controller let’s you choose from the list of all services recorded on the system.

Information about the current status of the entry is also provided. Before including it in the list there is the possibility to change the start mode of the service to manual.

The purpose of the application is to offer the user a simple way to start, stop or restart the activity of a service; and this is exactly what Service Controller does for a custom list of entries.
