AudioZip v3.0

Release Date: October 30, 2000.

AudioZip has been developed at the Centre for Signal Processing - Nanyang Technological University, in Singapore, by professor Lin Xiao. The compression ratio is good, but the compressor is quite slow. One interesting feature of AudioZip is that there is a choice to use a password at compression time to "protect" the compressed file. Decompression fails without the password. I put "protect" surrounded by quotation marks because the password is stored in plain text at offset 0x06 of the compressed file. Certainly the work of seasoned cryptographers!
