Release Date: March 4, 2002.
Always knowing what the time is might be important if you need to complete various tasks throughout the day. Ghrone is a nice clock that can sit on the desktop. The program is quite easy to work with, thanks to the user-friendly interface, which can be accessed from the system tray. The clock is customizable, which means that you can modify several settings from the app’s GUI. Thus, you can choose one of the available skins. Ghrone displays the time on top of all other windows or on the desktop, unobtrusively (depending on the skin you use and your personal settings).
Several other details may be altered in regards of the background and digits of the clock, such as the brightness, contrast, hue, saturation and opacity levels.
For example, the numbers may be painted in any color, while the background can be completely transparent.
The size of the clock may also be increased or decreased. Furthermore, the clock comes in two formats: 12-hour and 24 hour. It’s also possible to include the seconds.
If you want, the clock can be set to always be on top of other frames, which makes it easier to spot, even if you’re away from the desk. The app can also be dragged around the screen to any location and the position may be saved at system restart. Alternatively, the clock may be displayed in another position, such as the center or the corners of the screen.
All in all, Ghrone is a nice program that is quite helpful. Inexperienced users should have no problems with installing and customizing the clock, thanks to the intuitive layout and the overall simplicity of the app.
